Service Terms & Operating Conditions

Terms of service and professional dispatch agreement

Effective Date: November 8, 2026. Standard operating terms and dispatch conditions for residential and commercial customers.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or placing a service request via telephone at (207) 419-2600, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any written work authorizations provided at the time of on-site diagnostic inspection.

2. Service Dispatch and Site Access

When a service appointment or emergency dispatch is confirmed, the customer agrees to provide safe, unimpeded access to the premises, including basement utility areas, crawlspaces, water meters, cleanouts, and mechanical rooms. An authorized adult property representative must be present during initial diagnostic testing and when approving repair scopes.

3. Diagnostic Assessment & Written Approval

Plumbing repairs, repiping, drain clearing, and equipment replacements are performed based on on-site inspection. Before commencing work beyond initial emergency isolation, technicians present the diagnostic findings and provide the customer with clear pricing. No chargeable work commences without customer authorization.

4. Illinois Plumbing Code Compliance & Permitting

All plumbing installations, water heater replacements, sewer lateral excavations, and backflow preventer certifications are executed in strict accordance with the 2014 Illinois Plumbing Code (77 Ill. Adm. Code 890) and local municipal codes. When required by the Village of Wheeling or neighboring municipal building ordinances, required building permits will be pulled through official municipal building departments.

5. Payment and Invoicing Terms

Payment for residential services is due upon satisfactory completion of authorized repairs unless prior commercial credit arrangements have been approved in writing. We accept standard major credit cards, bank checks, and electronic payments. Commercial accounts are subject to agreed invoicing schedules.

6. Pre-Existing Conditions & Hidden Defects

Technicians take reasonable care during rodding, jetting, and excavation. However, we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing structural damage, such as previously collapsed or rotted clay drain pipes, deteriorated galvanized nipples that break upon unthreading, or pre-existing water mold damage resulting from ongoing undetected leaks.
